CO2 Microscope Cage Incubator

The CO2 Microscope Cage Incubator is designed to maintain all the required environmental conditions for cell culture all around your microscopy workstation,  thus enabling to carry out prolonged observations on biological specimens and allowing at the same time enough space for other equipment.
In the Microscope Cage Incubator cells are proven to proliferate as well as in a regular bench-top incubator.
Models for virtually any inverted and upright microscope are available.

A wide choice of chambers and interchangeable plate adapters adds flexibility to the equipment and allows to host any cell culture support (petri, glass slides, mutiwell plates, etc.)

Specimen Temperature Regulation

Temperature is directly measured inside the Petri-dish and controlled by a PID controller via hardware by blowing warm air from fan heater into the plasti box around the microscope. The PID controller reads the temperature in the reference well and updates the temperature of the fan heater, ensuring a specimen temperature stability of ± 0.1°C with great accuracy ± 0.1°C.

CO2 and Humidity Regulation

CO2 is mixed with air in the control unit and is continuously fed just into the Micro-environmental Chamber to control medium pH. Upon request, a third gas can be also fed into the incubating chamber. An heated humidifying module prevents culture medium evaporation and avoid water condensation on glass and plastic surfaces.

Micro-Environmental Chamber

The Micro Environmental Chamber fits into the microscope stage and hosts the sample. The pre-mixed and pre-humidified stream of air and CO2 is continuously fed into the chamber. Interchangeable adapters for any kind of cell culture supports are available
